Horse Feet and Purinton Creek Climbing

Home again! We've been blessed and can't thank the Lord enough for every little thing. He definitely provides all our needs. The arrival at home means that there is much more yarn and goodies at my disposal. Also it means I have more motivation to knit. Somehow, the hottest month in Thailand has a way of sucking it out of you.

I've been at these socks for more than six months. I finished them, but messed them up so bad I had to rip them out (oops! I guess that's why you count stitches...). They're ugly, but they're knitted from the toe-up with my personal dislike of socks and shoes and love of sandals in mind, so that means that they're amazing. They make my feet look like a hooven animal. I'm a fan.

Almost done!!

Jess' cat Newt doesn't looked stoked about my yellow, flowery, crocheted baby hat.

All right, now for the climbing!

Been out a couple times, once at Ravine Lake and once at the Purinton Craig. John let me steal the static line and jug up, in a mad attempt to capture photographs at Purinton. The awesome Shasta came out with us, and it was a beautiful day!

John stops and poses for me, nearly at the top of the route:

Once again, John stops and poses for me as I fiddle with the rope and camera:

The beautiful Shasta!

Since we got home, we've had nothing but everything at the same time. All I can say is that God looks out for us, and we have the best family and friends on the planet. We can't possibly thank Him enough. Things are good and we're happy to be back in the land of cold, gray rock and the best people and mountains ever.
